Find A Quick Way To WHY DOES MY CAT THROW UP

Cats throw up for various reasons. Some you might identify yourself and some you might need a vet to find out and explain to you. It`s not normal for a cat to vomit either daily or severally in one month. Some reasons could be severe sickness. You can only tell after a thorough examination by the vet.

Here are some of the reasons your cat is vomiting;

  1.    Hairballs

If you have a hairy cat, you might want to check any hairs around the house. If a cat swallows hair accidentally, they tend to vomit. In cases of fluffy cats, make sure to brush your cat as often as possible to reduce the chances of hair they eat.

You can also trim her hair; this will reduce significantly the amount of hair they take.

  1.    Poisoning

Your cat could have eaten something poisonous, and now it’s acting up in its stomach and has to vomit. Cats have not planted animals. She might have eaten the plant leaves in your house. They might have had a craving for a plant and opted to eat the ones around. Make sure the plants in the house are not poisonous. Sometimes this household greenery might not be toxic but could have been sprayed with pesticides or herbicides. Cats are allergic to these things. Eating them will only make them vomit.

  1. Eating very fast

In a case where more than one cat is eating together, a cat eats quickly to finish its portion and start looking out for what`s remaining in other cats bowls. Eating soon will make your cat vomit. Make sure you give them food to eat separately in separate rooms. Give each at least 20 minutes to eat comfortably at a slow rate.

  1.    Enzyme deficiency

Your cat might have pancreatitis. The pancreas causes this fails to produce enough lipase, protease, and amylase. This creates an acute lack which causes cats to puke.

  1. Different eating schedules

Change in eating time for cats can make it vomit. If your cat is supposed to feed at a particular time and it knows, when the time reaches its stomach starts releasing digestive juices, i.e. hydrochloric acid, gastric juices, and bile. If these juices don’t find food in the stomach, they in irritate the stomach. If you happen to feed it lets say three hours later, the cat is likely to vomit an hour after its regular eating time. This is to get rid of the excess juices in the stomach. To prevent this give your cat something small to eat before feeding her at a later time or feed her on time.

  1. Stomach obstruction and warms.

Usually, stomach upsets are known to be the leading causes of vomiting sometimes. Your cat might have eaten something her stomach is not taking do well. It might make me an abrupt change in diet from wet food to dry food. This might not settle well with the stomach in turn cause vomiting. Worm infections can also lead to puking. Check your cats waste if it has worms and seeks the vets’ attention.

Unless you know why your cat is vomiting you need to see the vet determine what is wrong. This helps you understand your options and ways to prevent it from happening in the future. It’s essential that your cat stays healthy and well taken care of. That’s the happiness we have when we see them play and we are sure they are healthy.
