The Philosophy Of WHY DOES MY CAT STARE AT ME

Cats usually stare for many reasons. It might be staring at someone or its fellow cat or even an object. It often doesn’t just stare for granted. Just as we humans have a way how we perceive things, it’s just the way even animals do; it reaches a point where most of the human being would consider cat is staring at them as an awkward thing bt that could not be the cause.

Cat staring at human beings could mean a different thing on how they either look at their predators or their fellow cat. Talking of its predator, cat frequently spots every move toward its prey, and it’s usually are fixed to that particular prey. A cat to cat stare would mean a fight to begin, and I have severally witnessed this. But why does a cat stare at you? This is the reasons-

1.As A Way Of Communication.

Just as human uses their mouth to speak, also cats have a way to go about it, and one of this is by staring at someone, This is usually witnessed during meal time, and your cat will be there gazing at you at least to get a bite of your food. After taking that bite, it will still stare at you telling you it needs more. Also, if your cat is used to drinking milk at a certain period of the day, the cat will keep staring at you to tell you its time or the time is near.

2. The Cat May Be Aggressive.

Like human beings, cats can also become angry. They even don’t just sit and wait for the worst. Many instances of man to catfight have been reported. One of my friends who is also a victim explained to me that it is the worst that has ever happened to him. Closing all the entrances and decided to kill his cat. Only the stare could make him surrender before the fight began. That was crazy anyway.

3. It Might Be A Sign Of Illness.

A cat with health problems will generally stare at you to show you what it is passing through and might be asking for your assistance. Maybe it is undergoing lethargy, zoonosis or kidney diseases and the rest. It would be wise therefore to take your cat for a checkup severally.

4.Out Of Interest And Enjoyment.

At times, your cat may be staring at you because it is exciting and mostly if what you are doing will be of benefit to it. It will also enjoy it, especially how you are playing with your objects and the sort.

5. It May Be A Sign Of Appreciation And Love.

If your cat could be given that ability to speak and tell you how it feels about you, It will automatically be thankful for providing it food, shelter and lot of other things to keep it moving. It also loves you for that. It’s staring that talk more of how it feels about you.

6. It Might Be Reminding You Of Something.

A cat will typically remind you of doing something that you are out to do at a certain period. This will include activities like cooking, milking. This two automatically benefit them, but what I think, cat reminds you of different other things especially those who are routine.

Those are some of the reasons why your cat keeps on staring at you. Therefore it is wise to understand it, blink when your eyes come into contact, also think of what it could be communicating. Very important. Don’t ever judge it negatively instead have a positive attitude toward it. Also, in case it stares at you for long hold it as that would mean love and a good relationship between you and it. Thank You.
